Shipping Protection

What is Shipping Protection?

Shipping protection, if purchased, safeguards your package against loss, damage, or theft during shipment.

When Does My Protection Start and End?

Shipping protection begins when the package is shipped and ends when the package is delivered to you or once any related issue is resolved. Specifically, protection ends when:

  • Your package is delivered undamaged to your final destination.
  • Your package doesn't reach you, you file a claim, and the claim is approved or denied.
  • Your package arrives damaged, you file a claim, and the claim is approved or denied.

You have 60 days after delivery to submit a claim for any damages incurred during shipment. Damages occurring after delivery are not covered.

How Do I Submit a Claim?

Submitting a claim is simple. You can contact our customer care at customercare@godarkbags.com. Most issues are resolved within 7-10 business days.

What Happens If My Package Is Lost, Damaged, or Stolen?

Once your claim is approved, a replacement order will be shipped directly to you.

What Do I Need to File a Claim?

When filing a claim, you will need to provide details about whether the item(s) were lost, stolen, or damaged. You may be asked for additional information and documents, such as:

  • Photos of the damaged items, packages, or packing material.
  • A police report or video surveillance footage.

If you cannot provide these documents within 60 days, your claim may be denied.

What’s Not Protected by Shipping Protection?

Sometimes packages may not be in transit or delivered, or they may be returned to the sender. In these cases, the package is still protected. However, a claim may be denied for the following reasons:

  • If you provided the wrong shipping address.
  • The recipient refused to sign for the package or the delivery.
  • Packages not delivered after multiple attempts by the shipping carrier.
  • Packages held or redirected at the recipient’s request.
  • Fraudulent claims.
  • Damage during unboxing or normal use.
